I have been done with my portfolio so I don't have much to do at work right now. Brittany has requested a story for her Christmas gift so I could start working on that, which I am kind of excited about. Now that I am all but done with college I will have time to write again and that makes me very very happy. I have so many ideas fighting for attention inside my head right now, it is making me crazy.
I love snow. Absolutely love it. I wish it could snow all the time. Unfortunately, I do not like cold very much, though I prefer it to hot because with cold you can always add layers of clothing. With hot, you can only take off so much before the police are hauling you off to jail for public nudity. The only problem with this snow stuff right now is that I wanted to have Chinese tonight and it is very icky out to even walk from Burnett to the Union. I am pretty sure this is God's way of saying I don't really need to eat anything, so I suppose I will not have dinner.
Teetz saw this really bad accident last week when it was snowing, some of you might have heard about it. This woman was speeding down I-80 (Teetz was coming back from Omaha) toward Lincoln and it had really started snowing. She hit some ice or something, swerved off the road and across the hi-way into oncoming traffic. She and her one year old child were both killed when they struck another car head-on. How stupid can you be? I feel horrible not only for this child who was killed, but for this family as well - a few years ago this woman's sister and her child were also killed in a car accident, though I am not sure if it was weather-related. I just don't understand why people think they are invincible - especially when going up against a force like Mother Nature. She will win every single time, so don't bother trying to fight her. I do not, however, find much sympathy for a woman who knowingly put her life and the life of her child in danger, because look what happened as a result of her carelessness. Now she and her child are dead. I hope wherever she was racing to was worth it, because obviously she never got there in the end.
